Introducing SIS 2.0

We are pleased to announce the availability of Service Information System (SIS) 2.0 to our customers, which will replace the existing SIS Web. SIS 2.0 is an innovative, cloud-based solution that builds upon the same legendary data model and will deliver Caterpillar parts and service information to virtually any device. Paired with a modern, mobile-friendly search and navigation experience, SIS 2.0 empowers new and experienced users to find whatever they need with fewer clicks.

  • It’s SIMPLE: No more plugins, updates, or configuration to manage. You can access all the parts and service information you need from any computer, phone, or tablet.
  • It’s INTUITIVE: SIS 2.0 has an intuitive interface that is easy to learn. Compared to the legacy SIS Web, the learning curve is significantly reduced. With little to no training, users will be up and running quickly and easily.
  • It’s EFFICIENT: With SIS 2.0, you can find all the parts and service information you need, but much quicker and easier than in the past. You’ll spend less time researching and more time working.

SIS 2.0 Training

Training tutorials can be accessed by any customer with a Parts.CAT.com username or CAT login (CWS ID) – We encourage you to spend a few minutes watching these prior to using SIS2 for the first time.

*Please Note: All customers must migrate to SIS 2.0 by May 14, 2021, as SIS Web will no longer be accessible. SIS 2.0 will ONLY run on the Google Chrome browser, please download Google Chrome prior to launching.

SIS 2.0 is being developed with Cat dealers to ultimately serve as the replacement for SIS Web. The system provides users with a stable, simplified, mobile-friendly search and navigation interface for commonly referenced technical parts and service information. While this functionality will likely meet the daily needs of most users as-is, this system will continue to be developed and refined over the next few years.

SIS Web is the current online platform used by more than 200,000 dealer, customer, and internal Caterpillar users to access technical parts and service information. SIS 2.0 will be the collective replacement for SIS Web (2019) once all data and functionality of that system is migrated. It is currently accessible by regular Cat dealer users worldwide and provides a stable, simplified, mobile-friendly search and navigation interface for commonly referenced technical parts and service information.

Migration will be complete by May 14th, 2021

Boyd CAT employees and customers will be provided SIS 2.0 access. If you would like to gain access and do not currently have, please fill out the form on this page and we will get you added.

SIS 2.0 can be accessed by any user on any device: PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The system is currently optimized for use primarily with Google Chrome. Apple Safari is an alternative browser that is also supported. Unsupported browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer can still be used but may impact the speed and functionality of the site.

Using the menu, users can translate the SIS 2.0 User Interface into the following languages: English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Japanese and Russian. The ability to search and view content in selected language is limited by published media accessible for the system to consume. If no translated content is available, SIS 2.0 will default to searching and/or displaying English content. As an alternative to displaying English content, SIS 2.0 supports Google Translate. Note that Caterpillar/Carter Machinery are not responsible for the accuracy or integrity of this third-party service.

Yes, customers with a valid username can already access the new site by going to SIS2.CAT.com. If you do not have access or would like more information please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
