Warranty
Boyd Truck Centers offers warranties for every item we sell, including Western Star Trucks and trailers. All new vehicles and trailers are covered by manufacturer warranties, but we also offer extended service coverage options. Available plans vary from vehicle to vehicle and even from component to component, so give us a call and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Parts Warranty
Boyd provides limited warranty protection for all aftermarket parts sold directly through our parts department. Coverage for defective material and/or workmanship is typically for a minimum of 12 months.
Western Star
New Western Star trucks are available with a wide range of warranties that can cover the entire vehicle or individual components. Options include basic vehicle, towing, cab corrosion, cab structure, chassis paint, chassis corrosion, crossmembers, and frame rails. These coverage plans range anywhere from six months and unlimited miles up to six years and 750,000 miles.
Extended Service Coverage
If you want to go beyond the base manufacturer warranty and basic vehicle coverage, then we also offer extended service coverage options for Western Star trucks and Detroit engines. For Western Star trucks, there are four different Truck Coverage (TC) packages, but the TC4 option covers the most factory-installed components and includes Detroit Assurance Extended Service Coverage as well. For Detroit engines, we offer the EW4 extended warranty, which covers most every part of the engine except for accessories, maintenance seals, and replacement of components due to wear out.
Truck Master
Boyd Truck Centers also gives customers the option of a CPO90 limited warranty from Truck Master. This plan includes coverage for the engine as well as towing expansion and offers optional coverage for the transmission, rear axle, and other components. We also have Truck Master Plus warranties available with 24-hour roadside assistance.
