Overview

The Cat® 335 Excavator delivers powerful performance in a compact radius design for heavy construction, roadwork, earthmoving, and truck loading. This 35-ton machine features smart technology, an ergonomic cab, long maintenance intervals, fuel efficiency, and high uptime.

Key Features

More Comfort. More Performance. More Versatility.

High Fuel Efficiency

Smart mode, hydraulic demand fan, pump and electro-hydraulic main control valve enable optimized fuel consumption for increased engine efficiency.

High Operating Efficiency

Cat Grade with 2D, Cat Payload, Auto Dig Boost, and Auto Heavy Lift come standard, helping operators dig with precision, load faster, and move more material every hour.

Lower Maintenance Costs

Extended and synchronized maintenance intervals help you get more done at a lower cost compared to the previous model.

Low CO2 Emissions

The 335 emits lower CO2 emissions compared to the previous 335F.

Note (1)Net power advertised is the power available at the flywheel when the engine is equipped with fan, air intake system, exhaust system, and alternator with engine speed at 2,200 rpm. Advertised power is tested per the specified standard in effect at the time of manufacture.
Note (2)¹Cat diesel engines are required to use ULSD (ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with 15 ppm of sulfur or less) and are compatible* with ULSD blended with the following lower-carbon intensity fuels** up to: 20% biodiesel FAME (fatty acid methyl ester)*** or 100% renewable diesel, HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid) fuels. Refer to guidelines for successful application. Please consult your Cat dealer or “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations” (SEBU6250) for details. *While Caterpillar engines are compatible with these alternative fuels, some regions may not allow their use. **Tailpipe greenhouse gas emissions from lower-carbon intensity fuels are essentially the same as traditional fuels. ***Engines with no aftertreatment devices are compatible with higher blends, up to 100% biodiesel (for use of blends higher than 20% biodiesel, consult your Cat dealer).

Air ConditioningThe air conditioning system on this machine contains the fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerant R134a or R1234yf. See the label or instruction manual for identification of the gas. If equipped with R134a (Global Warming Potential = 1430), the system contains 0.9 kg (1.98lb) of refrigerant which has a CO2 equivalent of 1.287 metric tonnes (1.418 tons). If equipped with R1234yf (Global Warming Potential = 0.5), the system contains 0.8 kg (1.8 lb) of refrigerant which has a CO2 equivalent of 0.001 metric tonnes (0.001 tons).
