Cat® SDX Screed Plate Technology is designed to provide flexibility for highways, interstates, and commercial paving applications. The textured plates are designed to increase density and smoothness, while the smooth plates perform like traditional flat screed plate designs with the added benefit of modular, quick-change capability.
The mixing action of the angular screed plates is designed to increase in-place density and provide better smoothness. In addition, firmer edge profiles improve joint matching capabilities. The smooth plates perform like traditional screed plates, with the added benefit of quick change capability.
The modular plate design simplifies handling and the hardware-free fastening system enables the screed plates to be changed in as little as 4 hours after an initial aluminum adaptor plate install.
Cat® SDX Screed Plates are designed with chromium-alloy materials that increase wear life when compared to traditional Cat Screed Plates. In addition, the modular plates allow opposite side interchangeability that can help maximize wear.
